There ain't no place left to hide. Not this time. Cover me in blood. Cover me in kisses and hugs. Cover me in the smoke and the soot of love. Something real, real enough. Look around. The trees all touch the ground. And the flowers touch the sky. Shadows and light. You touch my hands. My feet are on the ground. Everything reaches high To be touched inside.

Dedicated to CJH. silentkstudio.com ribbonsofsong.com Two hands on the wheel like you've got two hands on a plow Push the blade in, turn the rotten soil around A marriage in the dust, and you've got a girlfriend on the prowl You've got two feet in the gutter if you look down The lights are on in my house, and they're on all over town But it's too late for this goddamn runaround Runaround (runaround) Runaround (runaround) Runaround (runaround) We know it's wrong, but we turn the lights off We turn the lights off And just keep on running around Run, run, running around I put your wallet and your car keys on the sill beside my bed I close the curtains on the voices in my head A perfect little sunset on your perfect freckled skin It seems okay to keep letting strangers in We know it's wrong, but we turn the lights off We turn the lights off And just keep on running around Earrings by the sink, and you've got your tank-top on the floor I get a feeling we were meant for something more
